Within the field of sports psychiatry, our research program encompasses projects aimed at establishing sports psychiatry as a distinct medical specialty, as well as research addressing mental health and psychiatric disorders in competitive and elite sport.
Our research in lifestyle psychiatry primarily comprises translational and implementation-focused projects investigating the integration of lifestyle interventions into routine psychiatric care. This work is closely linked to the establishment of the Competence Center for Sports and Lifestyle Psychiatry within the Department of Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University Psychiatric Center Bern.
